Initié depuis six ans, En Terre de Feu est un projet porté par la DSDEN de la Haute-Vienne et conduit en partenariat avec des artistes plasticiens ainsi que des structures artistiques et culturelles locales et nationales. Ce projet s’adresse aux élèves du CP au CM2. Il permet d’explorer l’univers des arts
du feu, patrimoine local reconnu et relevant des arts du quotidien. La démarche d’éducation artistique et culturelle proposée s’appuie sur la rencontre d’oeuvres, de lieux et d’artistes, la pratique plastique axée sur la porcelaine et l’émail sur métal, et la mutualisation des productions.
Chaque année, cinq binômes de classes (de la même école ou de proximité géographique) participent à ce dispositif. Les élèves de ces duos co-construisent le projet autour d’une thématique commune. Ils l’enrichissent de référents artistiques rencontrés dans un parcours « arts du feu », mais aussi d’autres éléments issus du patrimoine culturel local et/ou national (design, architecture, oeuvres picturales,
littérature…). Les rencontres artistiques sont vectrices d’une production d’écrit permettant ainsi de structurer la narration dans le parcours engagé. Cette narration voit son aboutissement dans la réalisation d’une composition porcelaine-émail commune aux deux classes et constituant
le point d’orgue du parcours En Terre de Feu.
Initiated six years ago, En Terre de Feu is a project supported by the DSDEN of Haute-Vienne and conducted in partnership with visual artists and local and national artistic and cultural structures. This project is aimed at pupils from CP to CM2. It allows them to explore the world of the arts
of fire, a recognised local heritage and part of everyday life. The artistic and cultural education approach proposed is based on the meeting of works, places and artists, the plastic practice centred on porcelain and enamel on metal, and the mutualisation of productions.
Each year, five pairs of classes (from the same school or geographically close) take part in this scheme. The pupils of these pairs co-construct the project around a common theme. They enrich it with artistic references encountered in a "fire arts" course, but also with other elements from the local and/or national cultural heritage (design, architecture, pictorial works
literature, etc.). The artistic encounters are a vector for the production of a written work, thus allowing the structuring of the narrative in the course undertaken. This narrative culminates in the creation of a porcelain-glaze composition common to both classes and constituting
the culmination of the Tierra del Fuego journey.
